GAIA, the AI inside Gendo
The money leaving your business never says goodbye. GAIA does.
GAIA = Gendo Artificial Intelligence Assistant
Six in ten new clients come once and never return — and you only feel it in the till months later, when there is nothing left to do about it. GAIA is the part of Gendo that sees it the same week it happens: who is walking away, what that walk-away costs you, and what to do to win them back while there is still time.
GAIA is included from the Advanced plan up — at no extra cost.
GAIA · reading your business
What I found today
12 clients who used to come every month have not been back in 60 days. Together they spent $296 a month here.
What I would do
Text all 12 with a slot already held for this week — Tuesday has 6 openings.
You ask
How much came in this week, and who no-showed?
$1,640 so far (12% above last week). Three no-shows: Marina, Bia and Julia — none rebooked.
GAIA reads your numbers every day, not only when you remember to look
What it costs not to know.
Nobody loses clients all at once. You lose one a week, quietly, and the bill only shows up three months later — when Tuesdays start having holes in them and you cannot explain why. These numbers come from our own base, not from a market survey:
6 in 10
new clients visit once and never come back — that is the market standard
8 visits
is what each of them stops spending with you over that first year
6.3 in 10
is the retention salons on Gendo average, against 4 in 10 in the market
Measured across 62,474 real new salon clients on the Gendo base (tracked from 2024 to 2025): 8.1 visits in the first year for a client who stays. The comparison puts market retention (4 in 10) against the average of salons using Gendo (6.3 in 10). Run the math with your own numbers in the free diagnosis.
Four kinds of money you leave on the table every week.
The client who was leaving comes back
GAIA shows you who broke their visit routine while they still remember your name — not six months later. One client won back per week, at salon average ticket, is a year of revenue that was already yours and was walking out in silence.
The empty Tuesday turns into revenue
It cross-references the hole in your calendar with the people who usually come at that hour and hands you the list to call. An empty chair is the only stock that spoils: once the hour is gone, there is no selling it later.
The answer comes in 10 seconds, not at month end
"How much came in this week?", "who has not been back in three months?", "is opening on Sunday worth it?" — you ask in plain English and decide on the spot, instead of making a five-figure call on instinct because pulling the report is a chore.
You start the week knowing where to step
The recap arrives finished, with what changed and what deserves attention. That is the difference between working all month and finding out on the 30th whether you made money, and knowing on Monday where the week's money is.
How it shows up in your day.
It is not a new screen for you to learn. GAIA shows up in three ways: the queue of alerts already prioritised, the recap of the period, and your movement drawn out with whatever broke the pattern marked.

Alerts that arrive without you asking
What GAIA notices while you are with a client.
This is where it pays for the plan on its own. None of these alerts depend on you remembering to open a report — they show up because the number moved.
- High-value client who broke their visit routine
- Week tracking below the average of recent weeks
- A time slot or weekday that is emptying out
- Staff member with a drop in client returns
- No-shows above normal — and what they cost
- A service missing from the tickets of clients who always bought it
- Club subscriber close to cancelling
- Birthdays and lapsed clients, with the reason to call ready
Ask the way you talk.
GAIA understands an owner's question, not a system command. There is no menu to memorise and no report to configure: you write the way you would write to a partner who knows the business inside out.
- How much did I make this week? And the same week last month?
- Which clients have not been back in over 90 days?
- Which service earns me the most per hour of chair time?
- Which staff member gets the most clients returning?
- Which weekday has been weakest over the last two months?
- How much did no-shows cost me this month?
It thinks with the largest beauty dataset in the market.
The difference between an AI that guesses and an AI that gets it right is what it read first. GAIA reasons over your data with an entire market as its reference: 122 million appointments processed by Gendo since 2012. That is what lets it say not just "you are down 8%", but whether being down 8% in August is normal for your segment or a problem of your own.

Frequently asked questions
What does GAIA stand for?
GAIA is the Gendo Artificial Intelligence Assistant — the intelligence working inside the system, looking at your business data. It is not a client-facing chatbot: to talk to whoever is booking, there is Gendo Zap. GAIA talks to you, the owner.
Which plan includes it?
From the Advanced plan up, at no extra cost. If you are on Essential and want GAIA, you only need to move up a plan — a specialist handles the switch without you losing anything already in the system.
Do I need to understand data to use it?
No, and that is the whole point. You do not configure reports or pick metrics: the alerts arrive finished and the questions are asked in ordinary English. Someone who has never opened a report in their life uses GAIA on day one.
Does it touch my calendar or message my clients on its own?
No. GAIA analyses, warns and recommends — the decision and the message stay yours. When you approve an action, Gendo is what executes it: the win-back campaign, the empty-slot offer, the reminder. Automated client conversations are Gendo Zap, a separate product.
Is my data used to train outside artificial intelligence?
No. GAIA analyses your business data to answer you. We do not sell data, we never expose end clients, and what we publish on this site is always combined totals, never individual records.
How is GAIA different from the reports Gendo already has?
A report waits for you. GAIA comes to you: it cross-references the history, spots what changed, brings you the alert and already suggests the action. The reports are still there for whoever likes the detail — GAIA is for whoever has no time to look.
Your business deserves management that matches your talent.
