Privacy Policy
Last updated on August 05, 2026
This document was drafted to follow current U.S. privacy practice and has not yet been reviewed by counsel. Have it reviewed before relying on it commercially.
Gendo is a scheduling and business-management platform for beauty and wellness businesses, operated by Clyra LLC ("Gendo", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
It covers www.gendo.app and the Gendo application. It does not cover the practices of businesses that use Gendo to manage their own clients — when a salon uses Gendo, that salon decides what to collect from its clients and is responsible for its own privacy notice. In that relationship we act as a service provider processing information on the salon's behalf and under its instructions.
1. Information we collect
You give us directly. Name, business name, email address, phone number, billing information, and the content you enter into the product — services, prices, appointments, client records, notes and documents you choose to store.
We collect automatically. IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring page, and interaction events. We use cookies and similar technologies for this; see section 7.
We receive from others. Payment status and card metadata from our payment processors (we never receive or store full card numbers), and identifiers from advertising and analytics platforms when you arrive from a campaign.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. We do not collect sensitive categories — precise geolocation, biometric identifiers, health data, government IDs — for our own purposes. Note that a salon using Gendo may store client information that is sensitive under its own local law; that content belongs to the salon.
2. Why we use it
- To provide the service you signed up for, including scheduling, billing, reminders and reports
- To take payment and prevent fraud
- To support you, answer questions and resolve incidents
- To improve the product, using aggregate and de-identified data
- To send service messages, and marketing messages you can opt out of at any time
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
3. How we share it
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers that run parts of our operation — hosting, payment processing, email delivery, customer support, analytics — under contract and only for those purposes
- Authorities, when required by law, subpoena or court order
- A buyer or successor, if the business is sold or reorganized, subject to this policy
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
4. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it
- Access a copy of it in a portable format
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete it, subject to obligations that require us to keep records
- Opt out of marketing messages
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
To exercise a right, email contato@gendo.com.br from the address on your account, or use the in-product controls. We respond within 45 days and will tell you if we need more time. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask you to verify the request.
If you are a client of a business that uses Gendo, send your request to that business — it decides what happens to the records it keeps. We will support it in responding.
5. How long we keep it
We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. After you close an account, we keep what tax, accounting and legal-defense obligations require, and delete or de-identify the rest. Backups roll off on their own schedule.
6. Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls by role, and audited administrative access. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim ours is. If a breach affects your information, we notify you and the authorities as required by law.
7. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work, plus analytics and advertising cookies. Third-party scripts — Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads and Microsoft Clarity — load only after your first interaction with the page or after eight seconds, whichever comes first, so a visit that ends quickly loads none of them. You can block cookies in your browser; strictly necessary ones cannot be turned off without breaking the service.
8. International transfers
Gendo is operated from the United States and our infrastructure runs in the United States and Brazil. If you use Gendo from elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed in those countries.
9. Changes
We will post any change here and update the date at the top. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will give notice by email or in the product before it takes effect.
